Commercial heating, cooling and ventilation repair
Central Comfort Ltd. provides commercial HVAC repair and service in Calgary and Southern Alberta. We diagnose heating, cooling and ventilation problems in commercial and industrial buildings, including no heat, no cooling, poor airflow, intermittent shutdowns and control faults.
We work with property managers, building owners and general contractors serving offices, restaurants, retail premises, warehouses, industrial facilities and multi-tenant properties.
Service hours: Monday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–9:00 PM.
Diagnosis based on your equipment and operating sequence
A symptom can have several causes. We identify the installed equipment, review the service history and follow its heating, cooling or ventilation sequence before recommending a repair. Depending on the complaint, checks may include thermostat or building-control demand, airflow, filters, fans, electrical components, sensors and equipment safeties. Heating and cooling measurements are taken where relevant to the system and fault.
For intermittent problems, the timing, displayed fault and conditions before shutdown can be as useful as the current operating state. After a repair, we test the affected operation and explain any remaining deficiencies or follow-up work.
Common commercial HVAC problems
- No heat or insufficient heat: equipment that will not start, runs without warming the space or shuts down during a heating cycle.
- No cooling: warm supply air, uneven temperatures or a system that cannot meet the cooling demand.
- Airflow and ventilation problems: weak air delivery, fan faults, restricted filters or an imbalance between supply and exhaust air.
- Intermittent shutdowns: recurring alarms, short cycling or faults that appear only under certain operating conditions.
- Control faults: problems involving thermostats, sensors, schedules or the equipment response to building-control commands.
Tell us which areas are affected and whether one unit or several systems have stopped working. This helps us plan the assessment around the building’s needs.
Commercial HVAC repair FAQs
Can you help when we do not know which unit is causing the problem?
Yes. Tell us the affected rooms or tenant spaces and the symptoms. We can assess the equipment serving those areas and investigate how heating, cooling and ventilation operation relate to the complaint.
Do you repair rooftop units and make-up air systems?
Yes. See our commercial RTU repair service and make-up air unit repair service for equipment-specific information.
Can you attend an urgent heating or cooling failure?
Call 825-736-0055 during our service hours, Monday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–9:00 PM, to discuss the fault, its impact and available scheduling. Attendance depends on the situation and availability.
Should we repair or replace older equipment?
The answer depends on the fault, overall condition, repair history, parts availability and the needs of the building. We explain repair recommendations and can help plan replacement when continued repair is no longer practical.
How often should commercial HVAC equipment be maintained?
The schedule should reflect the manufacturer’s guidance, operating hours, equipment condition and site conditions. Heating and cooling season checks may form part of a commercial HVAC maintenance plan.
What to include in your service request
Please provide the site address, on-site contact, affected tenant or area, equipment type and unit number if known. Describe the symptoms, when they began, any displayed fault codes, recent repairs and the effect on your business.
Let us know about roof or mechanical-room access, tenant scheduling, site safety requirements and who can approve work. Equipment photographs or model and serial information are helpful when already available; you do not need to access a roof or open equipment to request service.
Leave gas, electrical and safety-control work to qualified service personnel. Do not bypass equipment safeties or repeatedly reset a unit that is shutting down.
For tenant access, repair approvals, equipment records and maintenance scheduling, see our HVAC service for property managers in Calgary.

Commercial heating and air-conditioning repair
For no-heat complaints, we assess the demand for heat and the relevant heating, airflow and safety sequence. For no-cooling complaints, we assess airflow, controls and cooling operation before identifying the repair. Replacing parts based only on a symptom can leave the underlying fault unresolved.
We explain the findings, recommended repair and any parts or further investigation required. Work is assessed around the condition of the equipment and the operational needs of your premises.
Ventilation and controls
Supply, return, make-up air and exhaust systems can affect one another. A ventilation complaint may require checking fan operation, restrictions, interlocks or control schedules as well as the equipment itself.
Maintenance and replacement planning
Planned maintenance can identify developing faults and help organize filter changes, cleaning and seasonal checks. We can review equipment condition and recurring issues as part of a commercial maintenance program.
Where replacement is appropriate, planning considers equipment condition, parts availability, building requirements, access, controls and installation coordination. We also support general contractors with commercial HVAC installation and replacement work.
Support for property managers and building owners
For multi-unit and multi-tenant buildings, equipment identification, fault history and clear repair priorities help coordinate work. Share access restrictions, tenant impacts and approval requirements so the service scope can be planned appropriately.
